The Honey Bee Observatory

The Honey Bee Observatory, located on US 41, just south of Fort Myers, was open in the mid-eighties. It featured a sort of ant farm for bees -- a clear sided hive through which the various bee activities could be seen. There was also a gift shop selling the end product: honey.
