Pioneer City was yet another western theme park of the 1960's, this time near Fort Lauderdale. Other Western towns of the period include Brooksville's Fort Dodge, Osprey's Floridaland, Panama City's Old Laredo, and Ocala's Six Gun Territory. Pioneer City offered the usual stagecoach rides, train, saloon show, and gunfights, but it only lasted a very few short years before closing.
